Our greenhouses are perfect for overwintering plants. A greenhouse fitted on an insulated brick dwarf wall will conserve the most heat. A greenhouse with cedar panels in its side elevations will also keep the warmth better than its glass only equivalent.

There is a lot of heater types which can be used within a greenhouse to raise the ambient temperature. We recommend electric or gas fuelled heaters. Electric heat is a more expensive option, but the electric heaters can also carry other features, such as fan to circulate warm air or thermostatic control. The drawback of electric heat is that the greenhouse will need a suitable power supply, which is not always simple if your greenhouse is in a remote part of your garden. Gas heating is a more cost-effective option than electric, however, the use of gas heat can alter the amount of moisture in the greenhouse air. Another consideration is that gas is not as easily accessible, and will need to be replenished.

    Electric propagation panels generate heat from underneath which encourages rapid and strong growth of both seeds and cuttings, germination and rooting. Each panel is factory assembled. Electric propagation panels offer full thermostatic control, when used with the thermostat , proven in use by professional growers. Sold in a range of sizes. Insulation sheets also available.
