Our response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak Update 15th Jan

In response to the ever changing situation with Coronavirus we would like to reassure you that the health and wellbeing of our employees, customers and partners is our highest priority and we will continue to take the recommended actions to protect all those affected by our business activities.

Adhering to the Government guidelines, we are continuing to manufacture greenhouses in our workshop and our installation teams are busy completing projects.

Our sales teams is available by email or telephone to offer advice on new enquiries or respond to any queries that you may have on a garden building which you have ordered. However, our showroom is currently closed. We have electronic copies of brochures and access to all our usual sales materials. To accommodate our employee requirements to follow healthcare recommendations and childcare needs, staffing levels can vary- sometimes at short notice. Therefore, on some occasions our response to emails may not be as quick as we would like. We appreciate our customers patience and we are working as hard as we can to offer prompt responses.

We are currently experiencing a high demand of our cold frame and staging products which has extended our lead times. However, we are able to continue working at a good capacity and are working our hardest to minimise delays where possible. Every product we offer is handmade in our workshop. Sometimes we make products in batches to increase our capacity, but this can also occasionally result in a slight delay as we work through our schedules.

Customers with already booked installation dates should be prepared to expect small amount of disruption to our scheduling, but we will work hard to minimise any disruption. As we continually evaluate our working capacity to follow government guidance updates there may be last minute scheduling changes- of course we will contact customers at the first opportunity when these situations arise. We have already set up a new, additional workshop to increase our capacity whilst maintaining social distancing.

We are a well established family business built upon strong foundations, you can be assured with are fully committed to your greenhouse order. We have no concerns about our future ability to fulfill your order. We continue to work hard to restoring our normal lead times and do our best to eliminate delays.

  • Sales & Enquiries

    Our showroom is currently closed. We will continue to operate our sales office remotely. We are happy to undertake sales enquiries and also discuss any pending orders. Of course our after sales support continues in the same capacity also. Our range of greenhouses have differing lead times therefore we understand the importance of maintaining our sales service and technical advice to our customers who wish to continue to secure dates which match their anticipated 2020 schedules.

  • Greenhouse Installations

    We are also asking customers to work with us in following social distancing guidelines during the installation of our greenhouses. We ask customers to leave their garden during the period of installation allowing our teams to undertake the task in isolation. If you do urgently need to approach our team during the installation please make all efforts to keep your 2 meter distance and wear a face covering.

    Our greenhouse installation teams have been advised to reduce contact with customers as much as possible. This includes avoiding entry into a customers house unless this is for necessary reasons example to use the toilet or to wash their hands. Our drivers are asked to wash their hands when arriving and leaving customers’ homes and we are not asking customers to sign any paperwork. Final payments should be made by card payment or bank transfer. We are not accepting cheques.

    All of our vans are stocked with hand sanitiser and wipes. We recommend that you clean working surfaces and handles of your greenhouse or anywhere our site team have accessed once an installation is completed as an extra precaution.

    Our drivers and installers are staying in the same teams and vehicles wherever possible. We are also keeping our drivers fully aware of the symptoms they need to look out for to monitor themselves, their colleagues and customers. We are keeping them informed of updates to government guidelines on self-isolation or quarantine – this means that some install services may be changed last minute – please bear with us.

  • Coldframes and Staging

    We are able to offer a normal service of sales and deliveries for Cold frames and Staging. If you have any specific questions about availability please call 01889 562 610. Deliveries will be made using social distancing guidelines.

  • Shows & Exhibitions

    We are currently considering our position to attend shows in 2021. These flower shows usually give us a great platform to showcase our range of greenhouses and offer prospective customers particular exhibition discounts and special offers. We also understand many customers use these exhibitions to consider their purchase options and sometimes obtain a package deal to best suit their needs. Once more information is published about how Covid safe shows will operate in 2021, we can make a decision on our participation.
