Our Company Director Chris, affectionately known as Woody, established Woodpecker Joinery in January 1994, A truly dedicated craftsman, he has designed and developed every aspect of our greenhouses to ensure a fantastic gardenening experience for all our customers. A very well travelled Woodpecker, he knows every nook and cranny of the UK, as he's probably installed a greenhouse there!

OUR TEAM

Chris's interests include cricket, football- he's been a Rams (derby county) fan all his life, much to the disgruntlement of our team, the majority of whom are Stoke City fans. Somehow, they still manage to work in harmony!

Louise, Chris's Fiancee, manages the office here at Woodpecker and uses her charm and excellent organisational skills to keep the boys in check and the ever-growing list of work in order. Always smiling and friendly, Louise ensures that everyone is motivated and happy and works hard to help all our clients with any problem- big or small. Louise's main loves are her four Old English sheep dogs, who certainly keep her occupied! She also loves to travel, with Australia being her 'spiritual home' and is always game for a good party with friends!

Tom has been at Woodpecker now for over four years. Having completed his apprenticeship he has become a competent and well respected Joiner and has crafted many many greenhouses for installation all over the country. He gets on well with everyone here at Woodpecker, including the menagerie of animals, and works diligently to provide beautiful bespoke products for all of our customers. Tom is a keen music and film fan and owns an impressive CD and DVD collection, which he uses to relax after a hard day's work. He is also learning to kickbox, so that he can keep the boys in check!

Joe is possibly the most organised Joiner we have ever seen! He knows exactly what's going on all the time and makes sure that the others do too! Having finished his apprenticeship, Joe is a key part of the Woodpecker greenhouse production team and a very practical, skilled person. Joe leads our Stoke supporters and can often be found at a football match, egging The Potters on. Another animal lover, Joe comes from a farming background and is often present at Young Farmers functions.

Louis, Chris's older brother, can often be found at Woodpecker when not running his own decorating business. Louis regularly goes out to install greenhouses and is a big help here at our workshops too, staining tricky white greenhouses and delivering accessories all around the UK. Louis has a young family and is a keen cyclist, having biked all round the UK for various charities.

Mel is a family man, who has two children. He is in charge of our staging here at Woodpecker Joinery. He is always willing to help and gets on well with the whole team. Mel is originally from Wolverhampton and so supports Wolves, adding a new team to the Woodpecker mix! In the evening, Mel likes to relax wth a nice glass of wine and some music.

Craig is one of our site team and travels all over the country, erecting greenhouses, as well as working on the yard. He enjoys all types of sport and can usually be found playing 5- a- side football or golf at the weekend. He is a life-long Port Vale supporter, much to the chagrin of our Stoke supporters! Craig is a real team member and makes all of us Woodpeckers laugh with his cheeky sense of humour, He is also known as the working man's orlando bloom (you will see why when you meet him)

Phil Works both in our workshops and out on site. He is into sport, like the rest of the guys, and plays cricket and football regularly, supporting Derby FC. Phil enjoys a night out with the rest of us and is a true party animal! Other hobbies include interior design and garden landscaping.(PHIL IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR BECKY)

Alan is a family man and works here at our yard in Hixon, on all aspects of our greenhouses. He is a very dedicated Woodpecker and works long hours and Saturdays to help the team, who all have a good word to say about him!

John is doing his apprenticeship and soon hopes to be a fully fledged Woodpecker. He is a very busy person, who also holds down a job at a restaurant and can be found here most Saturdays too! He supports Aston Villa FC and enjoys playing football. He is currently learning to drive and has 2 dogs at home to keep him busy, when he isn't working!

Ross is the resident Woodpecker Dude and incredibly chilled!As well as working in our workshops, he also goes off to install greenhouses with Chris, though he isn't quite as well travelled yet! A true rocker at heart, he's always got a smile on his face and his singing rivals Bill's in volume! Ross entertains us all with his stories of gigs he's been to and is such a dedicated musician that he even has his own band. Watch this space for tour dates! Now studying for a degree in Music Technology in Birmingham, Ross still works weekends and holidays- true dedication!

Bobby works full time here in Hixon now that he has completed his degree-congratulations Bob!. He always manages to make us laugh and is a real party animal, who often leads our Woodpecker nights out! Bob is now one of our managers and ensures that everything runs smoothly, liaising with suppliers, and our workers. Bobby is a rugby enthusiast who plays for Stoke on Trent RUFC.

James is Tom's younger brother and works at Woodpecker during University holidays. Quite often, he goes out with our installation team and is now almost used to 4am starts! He's been at Woodpecker for two years and is one of the lads, especially on nights out! James has just started a degree in Industrial Design at Loughborough University and seems to be enjoying himself very much and taking advantage of the sporting facilities on campus!

Becky is Louise's right hand girl and works in the office during holidays and at the weekends. She has an excellent relationship with everyone here at Woodpecker and with many of our clients, whom she helps in any way possible. Always polite and friendly, her bubbly nature makes her a pleasure to work with! Becky is currently studying Chemistry at Oxford University, but remains a loyal Woodpecker! (BECKY IS FAR TOO GOOD FOR PHIL!)
